So I’m working on an article about ‘accessible’ playgrounds in which this site, the Rusk Children’s PlayGarden for Interactive Therapeutic Play, figures. Ahead of its time with hill slides and natural elements in 1999.
More on that later but in the meantime, I just want to say why-didn’t-I-think-of-this-before…making a swing an arbor? The frame is already a natural trellis-like shape.
To the Playscapes mantras of playgrounds-should-not-be-flat and slides-should-be-wide, I’m adding swings-should-be-arbors.
